The serial plate is usually mounted on the pump box, main frame, or column. Look for a small metal plate with the Maxon logo. It will show your Serial Number and Model like this:

The Waltco serial plate is a small metal tag riveted to the pump box, main crossmember, or column. On WDV and MDL series it's most often on the driver-side pump housing; on EM series it's typically on the crossmember between the mounting brackets. The plate shows the Serial Number and Model.

Format hints: older units use 6-digit numbers (e.g. 460000), mid-era units start with M or W (e.g. M12500, W4200). Enter what you have — we'll narrow the manual to your build era.

Tommy Gate plates are mounted on the column, mount frame, or under the platform edge depending on the series. Look for the model designator (e.g. G2-40, G2-50, TKR, TKL, TKT, Cargo-650) and a serial number. The model designator is what you need to pick the right series from the list below.
